Eligibility Criteria
The CFI – Certified Fraud Investigator certification is designed for professionals who want to develop or strengthen their expertise in fraud prevention and investigation. To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Education
Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as auditing, accounting, finance, law, criminology, management, or any related discipline.
Candidates without a university degree but with significant professional experience in fraud prevention, auditing, or investigations may also be eligible, subject to approval by the admissions committee.
Professional Experience
Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a role related to auditing, investigation, internal control, compliance, risk management, security or related field.
Ethical Commitment
