How to Renew Your Certification

Maintaining your GECB certification is essential for demonstrating your commitment to excellence, your relevance in the industry, and your dedication to lifelong learning. The renewal process is simple, transparent, and designed to support your continuous professional development.
- Check the renewal criteria specific to your certification.
- This includes:
- Completing 120 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours over three years.
- Maintaining an active GECB membership.
- Meeting any additional criteria set for your certification category.
- Log in to your GECB Member Area and complete the renewal form online (or download it from your email).
- Provide accurate information about your professional development activities, including the number of CPE hours earned and supporting details.
- Ensure your membership is active.
- If needed, submit the flat renewal fee of $149 (every 3 years), which covers all your certifications.
- Payments must be made using the approved methods within the designated timeframe.
- When updates are introduced in GECB Frameworks or certification content, a free Delta Exam may be offered.
- Taking this exam, when applicable, helps demonstrate that your knowledge is aligned with the latest standards and methodologies.
- The GECB Certification Committee reviews your application, CPE credits, and (if applicable) Delta exam results.
- This process verifies compliance with renewal requirements and ensures accuracy of submitted information.
- Once approved, you will receive an official Certification Renewal Notification.
- This includes:
- Your updated premium digital certificate (downloadable anytime).
- A renewed membership confirmation.
- An active digital badge you can share with employers, on LinkedIn, or in your CV.
- GECB can also send certification validation directly to your employer upon request.

Note
Specific requirements may vary depending on the certification program. Always refer to the program brochure or your Member Area for the most accurate and up-to-date renewal information.
